This is the motto of Bally. In every town hall meetings, CEO used to give so much of hype to these words. This time, he was facing lots of challenge from so many people. One girl named Archana, was openly challenging him. She was pointing out so many things against him. Anyways I would not have done something like that. But many a times her views were correct. But for making a company, A great place to work.. The following points are coming to  my mind. Its strictly my personnel view.


1. Should not have much work pressure.
2. People should enjoy what they are doing.
3. A good salary/benefits
4. Some onsite opportunities
5. Good and challenging work
6. The most important thing being, we should have friends for our life time in the organization.

If these conditions are available, I dont think there will be any attrition from any company.

Indian Premier League          

        Was it a blessing or a curse?

The so much hyped Indian Premier League thus finished yesterday with Rajasthan Royals The Real Under dogs finished as the champions. What did India gain out of this tournament? If this was an India Pak match, at least we could have talked about SOME FORM OF PATRIOTISM ;-) But in this case, nothing to be proud of.. A sheer wastage of several laks of productive human hours. It lasted for 45 days. Each day a minimum of 3 hrs. Suppose if an average person is watching at least 1 hour daily (Of course it will be much more than that). If we are taking the minimum amount of time, 1 hour each... then also we are losing 45 hrs which is almost a week’s effort as per the Industry standards. So this much amount of time wasted by many crores of Indian population. All those players earned big money, what we
earned?

Even I went to watch a match at Chinnaswami stadium, Bangalore. That was a match between Bangalore Royal Challengers and Delhi Dare Devils. We got the corporate ticket through my office. Here in my office, they are spending money like anything for cricket. All the upper management staff are mad about this game. So what they did was they bought 40 tickets for all the games played in Bangalore and Chennai. Selection of these 2 places is based on the fact that we are having offices in India at these two places only. Tickets I believe at least some 2000 rupees. Seats were quite near to the pavilion and just behind Cheer leaders ;-). Here we have to consider another important factor, Bangalore cheer leaders were the most charming girls… Vijay Mallya is having more than enough money and he is spending that for the use of common man. Ha ha...

I wasted almost 6-7 hrs for that match. I had to leave office early that day. Thanks to the hectic traffic in Bangalore. Reached back home after 12 O’ clock in the night. Actually with that ticket, food and drinks were there. We were able in utilizing only drinks. Mallya promoting his own drinks J
After Bangalore’s innings we went and stand in the queue for food. It was such a drastic experience as we didn’t see Sewag’s batting and after long time in the queue, they announced that happy news.. FOOD GOT OVER…

Initially we had option of taking either match with Delhi or Mumbai. We opted for Delhi’s match because that time both Mumbai and Bangalore were not performing well. But later I realized I could have opted for Mumbai’s match as we could have a glance of Sachin Tendulkar, Jayasurya and Pollock.

Saw a news in a newspaper saying Dhoni made 1.5 laks for each run he scored in this IPL. At the same time, Shown Marsh who made the maximum runs in the tournament got only 1500 rupees for each run he scored. Ishant Sharma was purely disappointing.

But regarding Ganguly, who was the only captain with 2 man of the matches, came 10^th in the total runs scored list was impressive in this format also. But it is sheer badness in removing him from
the Indian team.

                    So what I feel is it was a sheer wastage of money and time!!!

FYI:- The newly wedded couples are staying next to Lekhakans home in Whitefield, Bangalore.. Their marriage happened some 2 days back.. and today only they landed in Bangalore!!

The 6 days stay in Chennai, changed my whole perceptions about Chennai as a city. I had been here for quite some time, when I was doing my main project. Also my brother was settled here, so I was more or less a frequent visitor. Prior to this trip, I had the perception that Bangalore is much better than Chennai in terms of good living conditions. But this trip changed the whole things. It is such a beautiful city, constructed for many more years ahead. Bangalore's traffic itself will take hell lotta time. Here roads are much wider and very less traffic blocks when compared to the so called Bangalore. I didnt roam much this time, as I had work at office. Climate is the only good factor Bangaloreans are enjoying at present. But here Chennai climate was good during my stay, though we need fan/ac at home :-) During nights when I was travelling in bike, climate was really cool.

Went to Basent Nagar beach, there I saw one Idli shop, there was a big queue outside the shop. Its called Murugans Idli shop. Taste was too good. Also I had been to a Kerala restaurant, Kumarakom, wonderful was the taste..
I was staying at Adayar near to IIT, but the famous Adayar Aanantha Bhavan, I didnt find.. A2B. Stay was also quite nice. Its a service apartment, per day for my room, they were spending 1500 rs. There are 24 such rooms in that flat? How much that guy will be earning per month? Its such a good business to start some service apartments near some IT companeys. Food also was there, but I am not impressed with the food there. And regarding the work, it was too good. I mean the guy whom I was interacting with was really nice. He was from Sasken, technically sound guy. His lead and manager also were nice. I really want to have some more chances to work with these guys. I really enjoyed my 6 days stay here. Now today night I will be coming back to Bangalore. Once again to a good climate, friends, traffic blocks...:-)

Thus after almost six and a half months of stay in Bally Technologies, I am about to go for an onsite trip. Dont get surprised after knowing the following things.. Place of onsite :- Chennai
Duration of my stay :- 1 week
Mode of Transportation :- KSRTC Volvo bus.

The only good thing about the trip is that company is providing the food and accomodation during the stay. Also there will be pick up from home. The purpose of my visit is that, I am supposed to trouble shoot some problems in Chennai office. But the same had been discussed over the phone some days back. It worked only one time. Rest of the times, I was not even understanding what Chennai team was telling about.. Many of those things, I was hearing for the first time.. Mm.. lets see.. what am I going  to do there?
I will get one weekend there, so hoping to see some of my friends in Chennai. Need to take laptop and some film CDs there, as it will be boring there without anyone.

Taare Zameen Par belongs to Master Darsheel Safary. The Eight year kid is amazing with his acting capabilities.
He played the role of Ishaan Awasthi for whom it is difficult to make a high impact in studies, tests and the home work when compared to the kids in his age group. He is more into his world of paintings, animals etc.  He already failed in the third standard once. The very next year also, he is under performing in all the tests in the class. His alphabets are not yet clear in his mind, so he is not able to differentiate between some of the alphabets which look similar, as a result he is not able to read even. When ever he started reading, he is getting a feel that the letters are dancing..In the maths test paper, he got one question, 3 * 9 = _. He goes into his imaginative world and seems like the there is a fight between the 3rd planet of lunar system and the 9th planet. After that fight, 9th planet got destroyed and 3rd planet still there, so he wrote the answer as 3 * 9 = 3. When complaints started to pour in, Ishaan's parents decided to send him off to a boarding school. There is not much change in the boarding school also as the teachers are continuing in the same kind of state. He remains the laugh stock of the class. Being away from home, he feels even dejected, inferior and finds it difficult to cope with his inabilities. Later Ram Shankar Nikumbh(Aamir Khan) gets appointed as a temporary drawing teacher of the School. He is different when compared to the other teachers, make the students to think out of the books, allowing to paint what ever is coming to their minds. Every child except Ishaan is responding with great enthusiasm.

He takes great effort in understanding Ishaan and his inabilities. He makes his parents and teachers realize that Ishaan is not abnormal but a very special child with his own talents. With patience, care Ram succeeds in boosting the confidence level of Ishaan. Aamir Khan is coming only at the very end of first half. But its not an Aamir Khan movie, its the film of the stunning Darsheel Safary. A number of scenes of the kid makes you moist eyed. I am sure if you are watching it alone, you may have a tendancy to cry. The kids ex-pressions, body language, eyes, dialogue delivery.. almost everything absolutely perfect. The best lead performance of the year, deserves the best actor award.


The film is Aamir Khan's directorial debut. The film was supposed to be directed by some other director, later Aamir Khan took up the job from him and did a great job. It came out to be major commercial success. It is competing with other commercial projects such as Welcome.  The mouth publicity and the Aamir Khan's presence is making the movie ahead of other movies. The music of the movie done by the great trio Shanker – Ehsaan - Loy is great. One song which contain the lyrics Taare Zameen Par is really lovely.  The kid has won several awards for his performance, and was the first recipient of the Star Screen Award Best Child.


A movie that moves you and makes you reflect  on your growing years. The kid has stolen everyone's heart with his heartwarming performance. I personally prefer all the parents should watch this movie. The message that the movie is giving to the public:- "Every Child is special".
But  the movie can have one more caption:- With Tickets, Tissue papers should be free, The 8 year kid stole the heart of entire audience with his stunning performance. Hats off!!!

So 1 more year is about to finish. I am still confused as where to go. Not able to make a decision as need I continue in India or move out? Past year saw some tremendous changes in me. Exactly 6 months I was out of India and during that time I studied a lot. I did my best work of my career during that time. Enjoyed a lot with so many friends there. Some unwanted things also happened. Many things happened unknowingly. Visited Hong Kong and Macau during this period. After mid June came back to India, had 1 week holiday.. went to some temples.. came back to office and put the resignation without any offers. Was I mad for doing something like that? Or was I over confident? I think I wanted to prove myself something, that might be the reason. Attended some interviews, got couple of good offers and got relieved from my first company.. Huawei Technologies. Put the garland for going to Sabarimala. Took 41 days of Vrutham. Joined Bally Technologies. I took an important decision by rejecting Picomobile offer. Full of techies :- A High performance company. But I didn’t want to work for long hours after resigning from Huawei :-)

Sinus marriage happened this year. She got married to Deno. After that I had my first Sabarimala Darshan. Awesome experience it was... Will not forget those moments... Had one round of  Shayanaprathikshan also.

Chettan and family went to UK(Ipswich) for a long term onsite. Hrisheekesh seems to be very happy as his mother is with him full time as Chechi has not yet started going for some job in UK. Since they went, Amma came to Bangalore. I took one house near Whitefield. Bought everything for a new home. Got bankrupt very soon. Continued in that state for quite sometime. Now this eventful year 2007 is going to end. After Amma came to Bangalore, I am kind of isolated with no friends, no activities.. mmm

1more thing happened during 2007 that will never occur in my life again:- Any guesses?

I had my 25th birthday during this time!! mmm a bad joke to end the blog...

Happend to hear the melodious song "Oru chembaneer pooviruthu" after such a long time. It touched me a lot. One guy in Amrita TV program sang this. Extremely great feeling. I happend to hear this song for the first time in 2003-2004, I was doing my final year B.Tech that time. This song tells something about an untold love by a guy to his beloved. He never plucked any red rose to her but how come she knew that all red roses in his garden were just for her. Too touching the lyrics and the music. Music did by Unni Menon and he sang the song too. One of the  most romantic song and to be precise, its one of the most nostalgic songs for  me about an untold love. Dont really know whether I loved her, but she was having some part in my heart I feel.Thats why now also I am becoming nostalgic after hearing that song! Regarding the music part,it is done in Sreeragam ..The other famous songs "etho varmukilin kinaavile" and "neelaraavil innu ninte...".falls into the same category. Though the movie Sthithi didnt click well(it was an off beat film) But this song was supeerb!! Terrific!!

Its a truth that the full Malayalam channels are running behind some sort of reality shows. These kind of shows hit the TV industry this much with Asianet telecasting Idea Star Singer (ISS). People started viewing this to see the young talents singing some good songs and also the comments posted by Sarath(One of the gifted musicians in Malayalam, he got trained under Dr. Bala Murali Krishna) and M.G. Sreekumar(2 time National award winner for the best singer). Slowly this program, the contestants and the judges got place in the people’s hearts. Many commercial companies realized this fact and nowadays ISS is showing just 3 songs a day in a 1 hr program; rest full time its advertisements. Many Hi funda people are saying like they don’t like viewing these kind of programs.. But I m just a common man and I do love watching this. Previously also I used to watch Amrita TV super star. I started viewing just to see the fabulous trio of judges there.. Later watched to see Sangeeth performing :-)

Nowadays all channels are showing so many reality shows. It started getting boring as everyone is mimicking the same thing. They cant help as there are no viewers for there program during prime time. This will affect their revenue. But better thing is try something new like giving some good
gifts with small questions such as guessing the prize of some stuffs.. Mm I m not able to convey what I m having in my mind.. Its OK.. not a big deal. leave it...

Another thing I noted is almost all reality shows are sponsored by Telephone operators..

Regarding ISS, I am not getting what Sarath is telling daily? "Sangathi" was not perfect, Tempo was missing, Sruthi was not perfect, In High pitch there were flats.. Low pitch is not good enough etc.
Yesterday it happened like after Vani Jayarams song, Sarath told like.. you need to practice low. He mentioned to practice low registers well.. My Amma was hearing this and asked me...? Is Vani studying MBBS or law? Why Sarath told about law? :-)

Kairali did a good thing by including a full campus instead of a single person in there show, so that all guys related to their college, they will get the viewer ship, once they are out also, they will continue watching the same!! Nice idea...
